よいお年を！ あけましておめでとう

So, very late update since last time! I’ve now lived here 10 months and just had my first “long” holiday going back to Sweden for Xmas

I really love my new job, working with great Interior Designers and Visual Merchendisers! I feel very fortune for getting this chance and 2014 have been the year of change to the better!

Now the year is over and I look forward to a great, exciting 2015 where anything and everything is possible! Stay tuned for more updates.. Now, bargain at 109!!

久しぶり❗️

Oh how time flies!!
Im in on my 5th month in Japan already and I still feel really like I just arrived. My apartment is (finally) coming together.. Got a bed👏

I thought I could make an update, just realising I took the local train to Shibuya, which gives me like 23min.

I LOVE my weekends here, as always❤️
Yesterday, Friday, I thought I would have a slow evening with no plans booked.. BUT, then my sweet friend Maiko invited me to an opening party for Cibone , a furniture store, that was reopening in Aoyama🌟
So hey ho yes so I went to a white party (wearing a deer-printed dress) and mingled with the design elite!

Im the YES(wo)MAN here in Japan!
Saying yes here means a lot Of exciting new meetings and experienses💋

So today, Im meeting a new friend for shopping and tomorrow, Sunday, my baby is coming to Tokyo for 3 weeks Of vacation (I have 5 days off)!!

So weekends ahead means alot new adventures🎉

Living/working in Tokyo

Its been a while but much is going on in this side of the world😉

IKEA 立川 have finally opened!

Its been 5 weeks Of intensive work but I have enjoyed every single day🌟

Over 30.000 visitors the first day and looks like this will be a great new store.

How to… Move in to an apartment in Tokyo

Busy busy building a new IKEA store, but oh what a store and oh so many things I want❗️

In all this excitement and hard work I decided to move, from a guesthouse in Nishi-ogikubo to an apartmentin Kichijoji (The number 1 place to live in Tokyo✨

I found my real estate agency online and with great service I highly recomend this place! Tokyo best apartment Talk to Taka-san! His office is in Higashi-nakano!!

Hard work moving, even if its only one stop on Chuo line. But Im finally here, in my 23 square meter apartment, only 6 minutes walk from the station!

Yesterday, Saturday, was a day of peace and mindfulness!
Mt. Takao, hiking with new friends in nature that totally consumes you, make your spirit a little lighter.

Then afterwards, a 7 course Tofu dinner was a must of course!

A sad Wednesday

This week my colleague and friend passed away!

Many missed skype-calls from back home made my gut feeling saying something was not right. But I could never have guessed. How could I?

We didn’t talk much this last year though i left my job and instead, moved to Japan. But I could follow him and my friends online, what they did and what was going on in their lives.

He was one of the good ones, one you are happy to have in your life you know!
He made my time at my former job so much more fun to go to. The last 3 years I had the privilege to work close with him every day and together we did a lot of fun events. I can’t say I miss him, yet, because I have a hard time realizing that he is actually gone. How can I miss someone that I don’t understand is gone?

Right now, Japan really feels like the end of the world and I wish I could be back home right now, hugging everyone and just to be near.

I want to tell his girlfriend and their son, and his family how deeply sorry I am! How painfully in chock I reach out my hand and thoughts to them.

This is a black week and I just wish I would have taken the time and had that fika with you that last week before moving. That’s all I can think of right now.

Strange food in Japan

Came home pretty late from work yesterday, was feeling kinda hungry, and went into a food market located at Nishi-Ogikubo station (my station).
Instead of follow my nose to the little bakery way back in the corner, I started look around and found this!?

This area is so great with small second-hand shops and inokashira park
which will be so beautiful when ohanami blooms next weekend!!

Well you know me! I 💚💜💛 Hara.
There is a great Starbucks in the new department store across La Foret (the one with a glass entrance you know with the escalators! If not you know it when u see it 🌟
It is up on 6th floor and you can sit outside at the roof in a garden!!

After some Tea Cream Frappuchino we went around urahara, the small streets behind Omotesando Dori and across the street from the exit of Takeshita Dori.

After shopping at 6%DOKIDOKI, my fav store, we went to Yoyogi park because it’s Tokyo outdoor festival today🎤☀️🌿🌱🌼
